READY MIX CONCRETE

Concrete is one of the world's most used construction materials. Because of the nature of concrete, it can take on many forms, it's durable and it's economical as well.

Northstar Materials, Inc. can supply ready mix concrete for any size project. Projects could range from driveways and sidewalks to bridges and buildings.

We have ready mix concrete available at our Bemidji or Bagley, Minnesota locations. All 21 of our rear discharge trucks are computer batched and dispatched. Ready mix can be delivered within a 50 mile radius of either of these locations. Our pump truck is available for almost anywhere in northwestern Minnesota.

CONCRETE VALUE-ADDED PRODUCTS

In addition to ready mix, you may find the need for additional value-added products. These may include such items as accelerators and winter heating.

Accelerators are products that can be added to the concrete to make it set up faster. Calcium is the most popular and it can be entered in different percentages depending on how fast you would like it to set up. Non-chloride accelerator should be used where steel and iron is present.

Winter heat is used during the colder months of the year. Hot water is used in the concrete mix and then in even colder times, we heat the materials used in each mix.

MASONRY AND LANDSCAPE PRODUCTS

In addition to ready mix concrete, we produce and deliver a full line of masonry and landscape products (Allan Block and Keystone retaining wall systems). We make block products to meet the needs of almost any project. You can be assured of superior quality with Northstar Material's block products. All products are produced on-site by highly skilled Northstar employees.
