NORTHSTAR MATERIALS, INC
Northstar Materials, Inc. operates three company divisions with headquarters in Bemidji, Minnesota. In 2002, Thorson, Bemidji Blacktop and Gesell Concrete Products all were acquired by Knife River Corporation, the construction materials and mining subsidiary of MDU Resources Group, Inc. (NYSE:MDU). Knife River combined the three companies' operations under the name of Northstar Materials.
Doug Muyres was named president of Northstar Materials. The company has more than 200 employees.
